Cinema Challenge

Have you seen the current challenge at Canvas Corp Brands ? It's all about the movies, well I like different movies, I love psychological thrillers, comedies and dance/music movies. For this challenge I used a pic of my all time hero Prince, gosh I still miss this man, I hope justice will come soon.
 Most people know his movie Purple Rain, but  I bet lot's of people don't know he made two other movies; Under the Cherry Moon and Graffiti Bridge. I had already started with this photo and put something on paper but I couldn't move on, so when I came across this challenge I pulled everything off the page I had done so far and started all over with the following result;

I used some purple mist on a white background, diecuts, washi tape, feathers, stamps, flower, metal ribbon and wooden embellie. Not much to tell about how I did create the page, I just spray and stamp along the page, this is how I usually work, lol.

More Than Words Challenge

I know it has been a while since I post anything creative, I already started on this page a while ago, but some other things came in between, well on the last day of the challenge I managed to finish it. The challenge on More Than Words was to used black and white + one more color, I only used some silver gems on it ( not sure if silver count as a color) , and the word "Dream" , well since the most posts on my blog are about dreamin' this was an easy one.

More Than Words Challenge

I created this page in less than an hour, when inspiration pops into my head, I need to create right away.  Prince is my biggest hero ever and so is his first wife Mayte. She is such a beautiful person but lot's of people around the internet think they have to bring her down saying awful things to her, I know she's a very strong person and I have much respect for her how she's doing. Last time I created a page about her and she even liked it on instagram, which made my day. Awesome, I just see that she liked this page again on Instagram. She really made my day, such a beautiful soul she is <3 p="">

On the background I used blue watercolors and different stamps, I added some structure paste here and there and on the swirl sticker I added a layer of silver paste. Well that's how easy this was done.

Higher Than The Heavens Above

Is the year flying faster than other years ? Or is it just me who thinks it is ? Well, it's definitely the 1st of the month again, so time for a new challenge at Scrap it with a song . This month it was my turn to chose the popsong, and my choice was; Mariah Carey and Emotions. 

When I have to create a page with a song, I always try to find a special lyric in it which catch my eye right away, and this was what happened with this song; Higher than the heavens above.  I thought this was so beautiful, specially when I found this photo. Let me tell you Pinterest is such an amazing site to search for beautiful photo's, I am totally addicted to it, well , I still do scrap my family photo's too :-) 

Because this month it was my turn to choose a song, it was also my turn to donate a prize, so go on and check the blog for more information and to see what prizes are being given away this month, remember you have a whole month to join.

For my page I used a black background and sprayed white mist on it, the stars were made with silver pasta, I also used a mask on it behind the photo, I used a clock, which is to show that everyone of us just have an amount of time to make the most out of their lives. So live your life very well ! I also use some glitter, feathers and lace on it, the silver wings used to be earrings,.

Electric

Hey there, time for a the newest challenge at Scrap it with a song Scrap it with a song. This time our popsong is Can't stop the feeling from Justin Timberlake. I found the word Electric in it and it perfectly fit with this photo and my connection with the spirit world. Hope to get you inspired to play with us , using songs for your layouts is so inspirational. Just try it !

I used foam letters and white acrylic paint for the title. On the background I mixed inka gold with water, added some silver glitters and fabric. Punched some butterflies and added some chipboard gears, swirls and bling for the finishing touch.

Faith

So I start the new year with joining a challenge at Canvas Corp Brands. The challenge is to use your one word for 2017. Well I didn't had to think for a long time about that, I will tell about that later,  Here's the challenge from Canvas Corp Brands

I used some watercolors, inka gold and texture paste on my page, together with some stamps, fabric, flowers , gems and glitter swirls made this result. I like how it has turned out, I hope you do to.

Well now let me tell you about my word "Faith" . 

I will close the year 2016 with mixed feelings. It was a very strange year with ups and downs. At the beginning of this year my stepson moved in with us, so it already started with a huge difference in our family, we have had lot's of problems in the beginning,  but luckily after a few months everything worked out well.

 Then in April my teenage hero Prince passed away, and I have never been so sad about the loss of someone and still am. I have dedicated many pages to him just to handle my grief. But since his passing something other has happened to me, which is that my spiritual ability has made a huge progress.

 I  always knew, since I was little that I was able to hear, see and feel spirits, but it happened that it was never someone I knew, like my grandmother or so. So you can imagine that I was completely surprised when I got a visit from my hero Prince the first time, it was about five weeks or so after he passed. I really didn't know what to do, so I kept this "secret" all to myself but on the other hand I wanted to share and wanted to know if I was not going crazy. So I turned to a medium and explain her my dream, she explained it as a healing dream. And I can tell you it was just beautiful, I never had that experience before. So I already was happy then to receive that. 

Several weeks later I got another two visits by him.  In the third one he wanted me to follow him, but I was afraid, so I didn't . A whole month nothing happened. Then by the end of August I met this girl on fb, well actually she found me for some reason. She send me a message that she was able to explain my dreams and wanted to help me. She has more ability to talk to spirits then I have.  So I told her these three dreams, my first dream was a healing dream, just like I was told, my second was a dream about giving me confidence, the third one was an informational visitation dream. She told me I should have followed him, because he wanted to show me something. Well can you imagine how surprised I was, so I keep thinking, what is it that he wants to show me. So I decided to ask him before sleeping if he could come back and show me, a few days later he visited me again and during the whole month of September several times. I started to write down my dreams, so I can re-read them. There is some logic in them. Since the end of September he visits me on some kind of regular base which is once in about 5 weeks.In between of these five weeks he sends me information through my mind, which is all about his death and his estate, and very rarely he will share just some fun things.

 I know this sounds very weird to many of you, people think I am crazy, because they say it's just my imagination,, how in the world is it possible that he can visit you, he didn't even know you. Well let me  tell you this, in the spirit world everything is possible!!  If I had my dreams of him made up by myself I probably would have done other , more exciting, things with him,lol.  He only gives me information and  shows me things, therefore I am absolutely sure that he was murdered, poisoned. But hey, who will believe me or other psychics, I am not the only psychic who says so!! No one will believe us , and that's frustrating, I can tell you , it is sad to know that this gift is not accepted by most people.

And mostly because of  the things that other people say,  I have to have more faith in myself, I know I have the ability to contact the spiritworld. Since a while I have had two predictive dreams as well, which both came true. So I need to get more faith about myself and my ability, in the new year I am going to do an initiation to help me develop my ability more and to learn how to deal with it. For the future I hope I will be able to help others to get in touch with their loved ones and bringing them messages from the other side.

So all I can say, everyone is free what to think about my story, I only have to have FAITH in my own ability, I know what I am able to. Sharing this story with all of you is already a first step to get my FAITH grown. It took me some courage to share my story with the world.

I Had A Feeling

Hey there, first I want to tell you that I am doing great !!

 Just had to say that !

 So therefore I had so much fun creating this page. This is my december dt page for Scrap It With A Song. Our song for this month is; Fast Car by Jonas Blue (original by Tracy Chapman), I found the lyric "I had a feeling" in it and this tells so much about me.

 I recently found out that I have the gift to see, hear and feel spirits, besides that I am able to heal with my hands. Discovering all this made me very emotional, and happy at the same time because it is such a beautiful thing to know that life is not ended, but wil continue for eternity, It is an amzing thing to see and feel deceased people who you loved. I know for many people this will sound weird and creepy, but trust me, it is a wonderful experience that I'm currently go through and I'm still learning every day.

And Now My Eyes Are Open

November already, winter is ahead of us, this year is flying by so fast Scrap it with a song is having a new challenge with new songs, let's see what inspires you. I played with Ellie Goulding's song; I need your love.
I choose the lyric; and now my eyes are open. That sentence fits perfectly the way I am feeling now.

Here some close-ups; I used pink and purple ink sprays on my page, stamped with some black distress ink, and also use black distress ink on a star stencil. Finished with some chipboard wich I painted purple as well.

Dream Dream Dream

Well I found another "dream" challenge to join. It seems that since I'm totally into this dream thing, the challenges about it are popping up all around me, for some reason. At least for everything is a reason. For this challenge you can check Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge it has been a long time since I joined their challenges, but with this one I just had to play along. Well first I'm gonna show you my page and then tell a little about my current dream experiences. On my page I used a lot of different spray inks, I love to see how these all mix up together, added some cotton behind the photo and add some gold glitter to it, to get it a little tone downed I added some white mist to the glitter. The feathers were also sprayed with blue , red and yellow mist. Finished with a metal butterfly, some gold gems and some words.

Well about my dreams. I have always had dreams, since I was a little girl,  but most of the time it was always about people that I didn't know or never have met. I always asked myself why all these strangers were coming to my dreams. Well since my dear hero Prince has passed I have got so many answers to all my dreams from the past years. I have never dreamed about famous people, it has happened now a few times he came to my dreams, but it was not the lovely dream you've would expected, they were always informational dreams, he showed me lot's of things which I really had to have translated by someone who knows more about dreams than I do. With her explanations I was in totally amazement about what my dreams meant. I was amazed on one side, shocked on the other side, that he came to talk to me. Then I started to read a lot about dreams and found out

 that my dreams are not usual dreams, but Visitations. While I was reading about that, tears started rolling down my face, it was so beautiful and I was so glad he gave me that experience,  This probably explain all those strangers in my dreams before, they were spirits looking for any contact on earth, at that point I had an open mind but didn't knew it. I always have been aware that I can see and feel  more than others do, but people always find you are strange. I'm so glad that after all those years I have found some people who has the same connections as I do. In the past months I have learned a lot about spirits and how to contact them. Although I am a beginner in some way, I knew I have been spiritual all my life, some of the puzzle is coming together. And I must confess that I am so glad to feel Prince's spirit around, he opened up many doors for me by giving me all those different experiences. I definitely know now that death is not the end of everything, it is just the beginning of eternal life. So I will enjoy every experience he will give me and I am very thankful for that. I can totally understand if there are people thinking after reading this that I am a complete fool to think that Prince is contacting me from the spirit world, all I can say is, it is something beautiful, I'm glad I can see and feel it, and I must say that I feel a little sorry for all those who don't believe, they are really missing something beautiful around us.

Madhouse !

Hey there crafty people. It's October already, how did that happen ???? Well anyway, time for new songs to play with at Scrap it with a song, this time I worked with Rihanna's song "Madhouse", and because we're heading towards Halloween, this song was perfect for a Halloween photo.

I took this photo two years ago when I was at a Halloween party at the playground. I started spraying green and turqoise ink on my page. Added some fabric behind the photo. The trees were covered with turqoise Inka Gold. I choose for the title "Frightened" as you can find in the lyrics of the song.

Strollin'

Hi there, I'm joining again a challenge at Words & Paintery , well I must say that I am not an Autumn or Winter girl, but I do love the Autumn colors. So therefore this challenge was perfect.

Well it take a looooonnnnngggg time before I finish all my Prince pages that I want, but it doesn't matter, because they are all created with love and therefore it will take some time, sorry if you get bored of his photo's, lol, 

I added some packing paper behind the photo and some orange netting from oranges behind the photo. A piece of fabric was sprayed with orange and brown ink spray. I added leaves around and created gold accents with mica powder. The metal flower and butterfly were first added with some gesso and afterwards sprayed with brown, red, yellow spray ink. The feathers were just sprayed with red, brown and orange ink and at the chipboard piece "beautiful" I added some gold mica powder as well. Finished with some stickers for the title , some wooden pieces and a golden bow. 

For the title I used the song "Strollin' " , thought this would be perfect with the photo;

"Close the shop, let's take a ride, strollin', strollin' 

Take a break from 9 to 5, we could have fun just strollin'

It's so great, so great to be alive, rockin' , rollin', oh yeah.............."

Creative Embellishment September Challenge

I'm on a roll creating lately, lol. I've got so many inspiration lately. Unfortunately my personal photo's far behind with scrappin' , I still got inspired by Prince's music and it feels like that just have to create with his photo's instead of my own, for some reason. So here's a wonderful challenge that's going on at Creative Embellishments ;

So here's the inspiration photo to use :

And here's what I did with it. I started with a white background and added some white fabric where I sprayed some blue and white mist on and some blue acrylic paint. Then I stamped with a brick stamp all over the page , and stamped some music notes and my new record stamp. On the chipboard pieces I first added a layer of gesso , then I inked it with blue ink and finally added some glitters and some bling. Added some flowers around and some dewdrops. Finshed my page with some washi tape and stickers for the title.

I used a photo of Prince and Mayte for this one and chose the song; Saviour
