Three more Prince pages to share

Hi everyone, I was on a roll with my Prince layouts, I've got so inspired by listening to his music and looking at photo's, that one time a song and a photo pop into my head and I have to create right away.

So finally again an 80's song, for some reason I have created more pages with newer songs, don't ask me why because I am a fan since 1984 !

 But finally here's my tribute for Purple Rain, the first song I ever heard and I immediately got hooked on this man and his music. Purple Rain was the first song I heard and it was the last song he every played at his last concert, I still can cry when hearing the first tunes of it, it also brings me back in time, the good old 80's, when we led a carefree life back then. I think it was the best time ever to grow up as a teenager, at least I am having good memories.

The second song I had to create with (sounds stupid but it always looks like some voice in my head tells me what song to use next). Can't help it , but I had to create a page with Mayte again, love her as much as him and both of them as a couple. I think she was his greatest love, the only one he wanted to start a family with. 

The song is from the Batman movie and it is a duet with Sheena Easton, be sure to listen to it.

And another Prince and Mayte page, usig the song: She gave her angels, pretty pretty song, and this photo was perfect I thought. Using my new dylusions spray on it, love how it turned out. Exactly the way like it was in my head. This page has turned out a little artistic I think.

Let's Go Crazy

Happy monday !! Sharing a Prince layout today and finally using an 80's song, lol. It's not because I don't like them, because I am a fan since 1984, but just because the idea's have to pop into my head, and lately I only had idea's with some newer songs. So here's the first 80 song, I loved that song when I was a teenager and sang it out loud in my room and still do,hehe. I discovered that I can do my housework very easily listening to Prince songs, get my floor cleaned on the rythm of the music, lol and fold my laundry singing out loud. 

Well I had this background pp in my stash for ages and it seems like that it has been waited all those years for this photo. Love Prince's look in the 80's , I fell immediately for his beautiful eyes and smile and those wild curls, ohhhh, I still do.... love love love this man in every way, his music, his looks wow, doesn't matter if he was 20 years or 57, he was still perfect !

Musicology

Hi there, sharing a quick page.  Using another song from the 90"s, I have to work on the 80's songs as well, but hey, whatever comes to my mind I create, and at this moment the 90"s songs work better with my ideas for now, but believe me, the 80's songs will come too.

Comeback

Such a beautiful song, maybe a lot of non-Prince fans do not know that he lost his baby boy, just one week old, this is a song he wrote about it, it's only 1.50 minutes long, but so so heartbreaking beautiful, it gives me the shivers. When this idea about how to create this page came into my head, I ran to the scrapbooking store to buy some brown paper, lace and flowers, because that's was what I needed to create the idea from my head, lol. If you find time, you sure have to check this song, I'm sure you will love it, especially if you remember what it's all about.

Sometimes It Snows In April

Hi, there here I am again with a new Prince page to share; Sometimes it snows in April. This song became very emotional after his passing this April, but it's a beautiful song. When I saw this photo I immediately knew this was the perfect song for it and I also immediately knew how to work it out, the idea with the snow and glitters around the photo was popping into my head right away and so it came all together. I really love how this page turned out, hope you like it too. Oh gosh, this man is so gorgeous, I can't stop staring..................

U Got The Look

Ok, here's my second Prince page using a favorite song of him. I just created pages with favorite songs, they are not in any order of favorite and most favorite. There is just popping an idea into my mind and then I have to work it out, it happens everywhere, I can be shopping, working, or like last week on my bike on my way to the grocery store, lol.  Just something the same as Prince mentioned in the Oprah interview from 1996; the music pops into my head and then on paper, or just start to write and work out the ideas from my head. So for this layout I used the song ; U got the look, an 80's song. When I came across this photo of him I'm  just drooling over it, love love love his face, oh boy, I still understand why I fell in love with this man when I was 14 years old, and I still do after 30 years, lol. He really captured my heart with his eyes. I kept this page simple because I was so in love with this photo, because there is a piece of lace on his head, I had to use some black lace on my page, finishing with some bling, maybe it's hard to see, but the bling goes down from the photo to the bottom of the page.

Distant Town

Hi there !! It's June already, so time for two new songs to play with at Scrap it with a song , this is my take on the pop song from Mika. I choose the lyric "distant town" from it, using this photo which was taken during our vacation in France. 

I first added some gesso to the page to make the flowers a little less bright, then added three pieces of washi tape and put the photo on that. Also painted a layer of gesso on the wooden fence to match it better with the paper. Finished the page with a flower and some pearls and gems. Hope you enjoy it and will come play along with us.  I'll leave you with some close-ups.
