Sketch Challenge Bo Bunny

Goodmorning from cold but sunny Holland. It's so so cold outside, but the sun is shining. They expect lots of snow for the coming weekend, so maybe we can go outside then and making a snowman and have snowball fights, that would be fun ! Up to now, here's my take on the bo bunny sketch;

I used the awesome Zoology collection, the paper and chipboard also some very old Karen Foster stickers and finished with a piece of burlap and some leaves. Thanks for looking

It has been a while since I played with the sketches from Pretty Little Studio, but here I am again :-) Looking at the blocks next to the photo I knew I want to use my Webster pp's for this. The background pp is K & Company, the stamps and some flowers are Prima. The photo I took on a French market during our vacation. When I look at the photo I almost can smell the lovely lavendre. Took the photo at a beautiful city in the south of France named Vaison la Romaine, it has such a big market where you can walk for hours. Have to go again this year, smile. Well thanks for looking at have a wonderful sunday!

Hi there scrapping ladies around the world. It is cold and rainy overhere, so the best time to get your scrappy stuff on the table and create some beautiful pages!
Since a few months now I'm joining the Bird is the word challenges and they have perfect words to create my pages with. This time "Remember" was the word and I didn't have to think about what photo's to use for this. I already scrapped some photo's of the liberation parade from two years ago and have so much more left. I knew the photo's of my son waving a Canadian flag (because my city was liberated by mostly Canadian soldiers after WWII) and shaking hands with the veterans were the perfect ones for this title.

Well, I keep on playing with challenges. You know why? I love the scrap and what is more fun than do what you most love to do and besides that have a chance to win some awesome goodies? Right, joining challenges ! So here's my take on this sketch at My Creative Sketches. I used some Imaginisce papers, October Afternoon stickers and Bo Bunny stamps, the background pp is an oldie from Basic Grey. On the photo my son on his first vacation when he was just one year old. We went out camping for the first time in France.

My entry for the MME challenge. I love their pp's and specially this one; it's "Hattie" from the Stella & Rose collection . These colors goes so well with my vacation photo's of France. I didn't use to many embellies, just some Prima flowers "Moulin Rouge" and cut out some flowers of one of the pp's, added some glossy accents, and use my favorite punch. Graphic 45 challenge "Honor your Hero"

When I saw this challenge I immediately knew what photo's to use. These were made two years ago during the liberation parade in my city together with the (mostly Canadian) veterans from WWII. It was the last time the came to Holland because they are getting to old to travel accross the ocean, so sad, but true. The Transatlantique pp's (still one of my favorite collections of G45), were perfect for these. Thanks so much for looking.

Found this challenge at October Afternoon, I only had a few leftover pp's and stickers from the Farm Fresh collection and thought it would be fun to do a page in progress tutorial, I never did something like that, so anything new is worth to give it a try, right?
I was inspired by the photo and therefore I put the animals on eachother to come close to the photo and sketch.

Boys Rule sketch #1

A few months ago I found the Boys Rule blog and surprise surprise, this year they started with some sketches, isn't that wonderful? Well at least I love it, I love sketches and I love scrapping my boys photo's. These photo's were taken on the end of the year party at school, they had a cowboy and indian party and were allowed to ride a pony or horse, the horse was only to ride for the big kids, but I think my cowboy looks very cute on his pony. So here's my first take on their sketch, I used two photo's instead of one, using up some old pp, the hay background, but it was perfect to match with this photo. The other pp's and stickers are by Reminisce and some old stickers on top from Bo Bunny. The silver cowboy hat and boot I found during a cleaning at my attic, what will I find more while cleaning there......... who knows. Thank you for looking and have a nice day !!!

Wow, it has been a while since I posted something here! I want to wish everyone a happy new year, with health, happiness and offcourse lots of creativity!!! Again I joined the Creative scrappers sketches, they are always lots of fun to work with. For this page I used a photo of my son's favorite toy when he was about three months old. The Echo Park "summer days" pp's worked so well with the photo. Used the butterfly punch from Martha Stewart, still a fave to use on my pages and added some Turqoise stickles on it. The flowers were made with a circle punch and also added some stickles to them. Thanks for looking and enjoy your day!

When I saw this challenge I immediately knew which photo to use. Only had to search for the right pp's, but when I found these old Graphic 45 pp's in my stash it was complete. The toy soldier pp is an oldie from Graphic 45 called playtimes past, the diecuts are from the Halloween in wonderland collection, together with some old K& Company stickers and Bo Bunny's Cambridge stickers it was complete. Good evening scrappers!!! After celebrating Sinterklaas tonight at my inlaws home and a complete exhausted little man, peace is back at home while all kids are sleeping already. So a little time to share my take on sketch #181 from Creative Scrappers. I used the gorgeous pp's of Graphic 45 some of the Le Cirque collection and some of the Transatlantique aren't those G45 pp's fantastic ? I love love love their retro designs, so easy to make every page beautiful.

I immediately reminded that I had this fantastic fabric from Prima which already was the word adore. I am not a card or home deco maker, I only do layouts because of preserving memories for my son. But once in a while I try to do a card for a challenge like this one. I love G45 pp's, their designs are the most amazing. My entry for the October Alphabet challenge at Sketches4all. The letter was "P" this month, and the challenge was to use some pink on your layout. Therefore I used this photo of my friends DD, because I never do pages in pink and I really had to search for some pink pp's. Luckily I found this cute owl paper at the shop which brand is from Rayher. Made this page already last month, but forgot to upload it here. I made this for the September alphabet challenge at Sketches4you. The letter this month was "B" and the challenge was to make a layout with a subject started with the letter "B". Immediately I thought about Keanu's favorite furry friend since he was born; Bear. He still goes everywhere with him and I really have to say sometimes that he has to leave him home, because I'm so afraid that he will loose him sometime. He already did that once last year at the pettingfarm. Luckily I found it back the same place where he left it, but oh boy, I couldn't imagine what to do if he would have been gone. So, I "recovered" from my wedding last tuesday, haha. Well, we didn't had a big one we only had a lunch with twelve persons and we didn't had any white dress or black suit. But we did wear white clothes and flipflops, haha, just the way I wanted. Well, I had some time to play along with Bo Bunny's sketch and here is what I created:

For the second time I played with Bird is the Word challenge. The word was "dream" , I found this sweet photo of my baby boy at 6 months old, drinking his bottle and fell asleep. I used some beautiful pp's of Sassfrass, but I must say that I haven't seen these pp's much used in gallery's. The stitches that were on the page I decided to do it over with real ones, so that it gives more 3d effect on the page.

Thought that this photo was perfect for these pp's. Took the photo in an amusement park, the title is the name of this attraction. Papers en embellies are by My Mind's Eye, some black stickles and glossy accents, finised with some stitching. These pp's are awesome with felt accents.

Actually I made this page for a challenge, but when I wanted to upload, the challenge was already closed, but I finally got these photo's scrapped by using the fun collection 'big top" by TADA creative. I used some glossy accents on the balloons and the popcorn.

Another sketch at Creative Scrappers, just love their sketches, I almost play every week, so much inspiration! I used some old pp I had in my stash but it was perfect for these photo's which I took at the candy museum in France. The mickey on the right was made of chocolate the other two of all kind of candy and licorice. Didn't put too many embellies on it because there were already three photo's on the page and I usually never work with more then one photo, only rarely if the sketches let me to, lol. So this sketch was a great challenge to me!

Bo Bunny Sketch Challenge

I love doing layout challenges at Bo Bunny, first I love Bo Bunny, I have almost all their collections never can make a choice which one is my fave, second I love doing sketches and third I love doing challenges, so here's my entry;

I cut the butterfly out of vellum and inked it with distress ink Vintage Photo and cat's eye brown ink. The big flower I made of baby wipes and distress ink, for the centre of the flower I cut a piece of cardboard, colored it with a brown pencil added some Pearl Glimmermist and added some pearls with a pearl pen, because of the misting the brown color of the cardboard piece turned out into two different colors, which, I thought, looks not too bad. Around the whole diecut I stitched with beads, which was a lot of work but I like the result. Thanks for looking.

Made this for the Passion for fashion challenge at Pages in time. You had to use a dress form, stitching and ribbon/lace on your page. I made the dress form myself out of cardboard, painted it black and added some glossy accents to it, finished it with stickers, pearls and lace.

Travel Challenge at Pages in Time

I found this challenge at Pages in Time and immediately knew what photo to use. You had to use a vacation photo and include a ticket, postcard or anything from that vacation to the page. I had this photo of our vacation in 2009 in France, took this at the candy museum and include a flyer of it. I made the cotton candy and lollipop myself using cardboard, paint, glossy accents, cotton balls, ink and glitterglue.

For April the country we were travelling to was; Italy ! I joined this challenge at Sketches4you since the first started in December and still love it. So this time no photo's of Italy from me, but one of Keanu eating spaghetti, isn't that Italian or what ?! I used Graphic 45 pp's for this and finished it with some lace and stitching. Also distressed the edges with Tim Holtz edge distresser and inked it with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

I see I'm a little behind with uploading,at least I forgot to share this one with you. I had inspiration to play with palette #55 of the Colorroom because they were related to Prima's "Madeline" collection and that's what I had in my stash. So only pp's and chipboard pieces by Prima on this one, some ribbon, some stickers I had for ages, lol, some flowers, pearls and the package of some Prima flowers resulted in this page.

Happy Queensday !!!!!!!! And again it was a sunny day like almost every year !!!! We didn't went to the city this time because it's always so crowded. I got a flyer from Keanu's school last week that there were some kids activity's there, so first we went to the new house of my brother and sister in law, they moved in yesterday on their 7th wedding anniversary, their new home is soooo big, they have a livingroom which is 13 mtrs !!!!! After that we went to the games by Keanu's school, and after that we went to the sport airport to watch how the planes take the flags with advertisements behind the plane, so great to see, some missed it and had to fly another round and then trying it again. So a quiet Queensday for us this year !

At the pettingfarm/playground;

Yesterday we went for a cappuncino at the terrace of the sports airport, our favorite spot to go in summer. After going here Roland promised Keanu to take him for a swim and going to practice with him for his swimming lessons. But when we were almost ready to left the terrace, Keanu trowed up all the drinks he had there and didn't feel well, so no swimming, that will be doing next weekend.

Today at a shopping mall Keanu wants me to take a photo of him with this big gorilla (together with our friends daughter)

And we bumped into an Easter Bunny

We ended the day up at our place together with our friends and enjoyed a bbq in our sunny backyard! Sorry, no photo's taken of this one, to busy eating all the food, lol....... Have a great week !!!
